Machine Quilting Classes, winter 2010

Sew, Slice and Switch
This class uses 5 inch squares. It is a scrap quilt so you can use up your leftover cotton fabrics. We will review accuracy, cutting, layering and binding. Sashing is introduced. There is a trick to sewing up these very fast blocks. This makes a good second quilt-project or a first project if you feel confident with a sewing machine.
Monday 7-9pm $75 for 4 classes
January 18, 25, February 8, March 1

Log Cabin- FoundationTechnique
Learn the technique for this ‘wonky’ version of the traditional 1860’s log cabin block. You will learn the foundation method. We will talk about values which are important for this type of block and you’ll get some quilting tips as well. Using the skills you acquired in the 9-patch course you will be able to turn these blocks into an amazing quilt on your own.
Monday 7 - 9:30 pm $30 for this one-time class
